We break down Super Bowl ticket prices on the secondary ticket market a day before the AFC and NFC Championship Games.
Super Bowl XLVII is 15 days away, but opportunities for tickets are improving for those looking to roll the dice on their favorite team getting into the game. Over at TiqIQ, 2,500 Super Bowl tickets are currently available. As recently as a week ago, TiqIQ had only 234 tickets available. The influx of tickets decreased the ticket price early in the week to under $3,000, but it now sits at $3,110 per seat.
The original decrease likely came with Broncos, Seahawks, Packers and Texans fans unloading tickets they might have purchased in hopes of seeing their team in the Super Bowl. Although two more fan bases will be left disappointed, that likely will not result in any decrease early next week since people will be scavenging for any tickets they can find.
TiqIQ's cheapest ticket is currently $1,976, placing the holder in section 602, row 30. TiqIQ also partners with Primesport to provide Super Bowl tickets. Over at Primesport, the cheapest ticket runs $1,785.
For those still trying to get tickets to Sunday's NFC Championship Game, ticket prices are currently averaging $367, with a low price of $172. Prices are also down 29% in the last two weeks. Compared to last year's NFC title game this one isn't carrying the same demand on the ticket market, as prices are currently 37% cheaper than that game in San Francisco.
