Could Andy Reid be the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs? After an interview with Chiefs brass Wednesday, it's looking like a possibility.
According to Comcast Sportsnet's Reuben Frank, Reid's talks with Kansas City "went well" and was "very long." Reid also told Frank via text message that an interview with the Arizona Cardinals, scheduled for Thursday, might have to be pushed back to Friday.
That jibes with a report from news station FOX 29, which stated that Reid was supposed to take a flight to Arizona from Philadelphia on Wednesday night, but didn't leave the city after spending the day talking with Chiefs officials.
Since being fired on Monday by the Eagles, Reid has been linked extensively to Arizona, with multiple reports at one point suggesting that the Cardinals were on the verge of hiring him. But Arizona, which let go of six-year head coach Ken Whisenhunt on Monday, has said there is no top candidate for the job at the moment.
Reid went 140-102 in 14 years for Philadelphia, but was done in by a 4-12 season in 2012. Kansas City recently let go of head coach Romeo Crennel after a 2-14 season. Crennel was 4-15 in his time at the helm of the Chiefs and is 28-55 overall as a head coach.
