The San Francisco 49ers are early 5-point favorites over the Baltimore Ravens for Super Bowl XLVII, according to oddsmakers. Both teams enjoyed big victories in the NFC and AFC Championship Games on Sunday to advance to New Orleans on Feb. 3.
The 49ers were arguably the better team throughout the year, after going 11-4-1 during the regular season. They came back from a 17-point deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The defense has been spectacular, but quarterback Colin Kaepernick may have tipped the scales for oddsmakers. He went 16-for-21 passing for 233 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta.
The Ravens went 10-6 during the regular season, earning the No. 4 seed in the AFC. They beat the Patriots 28-13 on Sunday to advance.
