Houston's addition to the AFC's roster gives the Chiefs six Pro Bowlers despite Kansas City's 2-14 record in the NFL, which equalled the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2-14 record as the worst in the NFL in 2012. The Chiefs' six representatives is the most the franchise has sent to the Pro Bowl since 2005.

Houston was an impact player all season for the Chiefs defense, recording a team-high 10 sacks for a combined 69 yards lost. Houston also forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and intercepted his first pass in 2012 and returned the interception for 32 yards.

The second-year player out of Georgia also recorded 66 combined tackles in 2012 and defended five passes. The Chiefs selected Houston with the 70th overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.
