NFL coaching rumors 2013: Andy Reid, Bill O'Brien capture headlines Thursday

Despite being let go by the Philadelphia Eagles, Reid is still a hot coaching commodity in the NFL.

One of the longest-tenured coaches in the NFL with his current team when he was let go, Andy Reid is still a popular candidate to fill a number of head coaching vacancies around the league.

After being linked to the Kansas City Chiefs opening, Reid has reportedly lined up an interview with the San Diego Chargers after they relieved Norv Turner of his coaching duties. Reid is from Los Angeles and Jason La Canfora believes Reid would be interested because of the location. Reid had previously been scheduled to meet with the Arizona Cardinals about their head coaching vacancy, but that could be on hold.

Speaking of the Cards, they're reportedly interested in their former offensive coordinator and current Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley as a replacement for the fired Ken Whisenhunt.

After one season as the head coach at Penn State, Bill O'Brien could also be on the move. O'Brien has interviewed with the Cleveland Browns about their vacancy at head coach after Cleveland fired Pat Shurmur. O'Brien also remains of interest to the Philadelphia Eagles, per Albert Breer of NFL.com.

Former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith is also drawing some interest from other NFL teams as he'll meet with the Buffalo Bills this weekend. The Bills have already had talks with the aforementioned Whisenhunt.
