The Cardinals add McCoy to their list of coordinators under consideration to take over head coaching duties in Arizona.

The Arizona Cardinals continue to line up candidates to take the team's open head coaching position after dumping Ken Whisenhunt at the conclusion of the season.

After losing out in their initial pursuit of Andy Reid, the Cardinals are reportedly looking at several coaches as possible hires including a group of current coordinators in the NFL. According to Mark Dalton, media relations VP for the Cardinals, the team plans to meet with Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy on Saturday.

McCoy, 40 has been coaching since 2000, spending nine years working in a variety of roles with the offense in Carolina. He become a hot commodity around the league after taking over Denver's offense in 2009. The past two seasons McCoy has adjusted to working with quarterbacks Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning and finding a way to succeed with both.

With McCoy calling the plays and Manning calling the signals this year, the Broncos are second in the league in scoring and fourth in total yards.
