Leon Hall does something that Andy Dalton couldn't by scoring a touchdown for the Bengals.
After Andy Dalton had -6 yards passing in the first quarter, it looked like the Bengals were going to have a hard time scoring on offense. It's a good thing that Matt Schaub was willing to do them a favor in the scoring department.
With 9:30 left in the second quarter, Bengals cornerback Leon Hall jumped a route and picked off Schaub, returning the ball 21 yards for a touchdown. Houston dominated the first quarter but came away with field goals instead of touchdowns and so now Cincinnati leads 7-6 midway through the second.
Schaub has otherwise been accurate and is 11-of-13, but those attempts have gained only 65 yards. The Bengals' defense was ranked seventh in the NFL against the pass this season and had 14 interceptions. Hall had two interceptions on the year and returned one of those for a touchdown. Schaub threw only 12 interceptions but has just thrown a very costly one early.
Now the Bengals just need to figure out what to do with Dalton.
