Colts vs. Ravens score: Joe Flacco comes alive early in the 3rd quarter

Joe Flacco found his form in the third quarter.

The Baltimore Ravens opened up their slender first-half lead, and are now on top of the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 17-6 in Sunday's Wild Card playoff game.

Joe Flacco came alive out of the break, throwing for more yards in the first five minutes of the second half than he did in the entire first half. A 46-yard completion to Anquan Boldin on a perfectly-thrown deep pass helped fuel a 5-play, 75-yard drive that was capped off with a 20-yard pass to tight end Dennis Pitta for the touchdown.

Andrew Luck and the Colts have had moderate success through the air, but their inability to hold back the Ravens' blitz packages has allowed a lot of pressure on their rookie quarterback. Indianapolis is attempting to switch to more short throws to diffuse the pass rush, but with Baltimore now getting their deep ball offense going, it will require some longer-developing routes by the Colts.
