Robert Griffin III left the field with what looked like a leg injury, after getting shoved to the ground on a dead ball.
Robert Griffin III has left for the trainer's room in the Washington Redskins Wild Card playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks. Griffin limped to the locker room, followed closely by Dr. James Andrews. He appeared to be favoring the same leg that kept him out of a game late in the season.
Griffin had just thrown a four-yard touchdown pass to tight end Logan Paulsen when he came up limping, then was, er, helped to the ground by Seahawks defensive end Bruce Irvin.
RGIII came back soon after and retook his place on the bench. The safe money is on him returning for the Redskins' next drive, but 'Skins fans know that the team has performed admirably when backup Kirk Cousins is calling the signals. Regardless, if Griffin is playing, his wheels won't be operating at maximum capacity, good news for the Seahawks as they try to climb from a 14-0 deficit.
