Robert Griffin III went down in a heap and his knee was gruesomely twisted up on a botched snap. This won't end well.
Robert Griffin III looks like he won't be coming back to the Wild Card playoffs for the Redskins after his injured right knee buckled on a botched snap in the fourth quarter. Griffin went down in a heap trying to pick up the ball and his knee clearly bent the wrong way. Take a look:
Just gruesome. Mike Shanahan will clearly be questioned for a long time after this, because Griffin has been playing for nearly 20 minutes on a knee that is clearly not healthy. He was limping around while running and had been sacked multiple times on plays he would have avoided if he were at full strength.
Safe to say Kirk Cousins, who has played and won games for the Redskins this season, will attempt to lead the charge on a comeback in a 21-14 deficit. Redskins fans are simply praying that all of Griffin's ligaments are intact.
