San Diego's coaching search will likely heat up once a new general manager is hired.
The San Diego Chargers have finally moved on from Norv Turner, opening the door for a new head coach to take the keys to the team.
The Chargers' coaching search has moved a bit slower than most, however, as general manager A.J. Smith was also fired on Dec. 31. The team is currently interviewing candidates for the vacant general manager position. Once the team finds its general manager, the coaching search should pick up steam.
Still, reports have surfaced about a handful of candidates in San Diego's head coaching search. The biggest name reported to have interest is Mike Holmgren, the former coach of the Seahawks and Packers, who according to Jason La Canfora, could be a serious candidate.
La Canfora also mentioned Jim Mora, who formerly coached in the NFL and is now the head coach of UCLA. Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians will also interview for the job, according to La Canfora.
Be sure to check in on this stream throughout the coaching search and follow along at Bolts for the Blue.
