Stew Milne-US PRESSWIRE
Both the Ravens and Broncos had a couple of key players sitting out of Wednesday's practice as they prepared for their divisional round matchup in Denver on Saturday afternoon.
Much like the Texans-Patriots game, the Broncos are hosting the Ravens on Saturday, who they played and defeated in the regular season. The Broncos beat the Ravens in Week 15 on the road by a score of 34-17 and will be looking to recreate those results so they can advance to the AFC Championship game. However, the Ravens now have a key player back in the fold in future Hall Of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis, who missed the first game.
For the Ravens, fullback Vonta Leach, running back Bernard Pierce and tackle Jah Reid were held out of practice on Wednesday with knee, ankle, and toe injuries, respectively. Inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe was limited in practice, but all other players practiced fully, including Lewis and safety Ed Reed.
For the Broncos, the only player that was held out of practice was cornerback Tracy Porter, who is suffering from a concussion. He has not yet been ruled out, though. All other players are practicing fully.
The Ravens are looking to send Ray Lewis out on a high note, while the Broncos are looking to extend their winning streak to 12 games.
