The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Washington Redskins in an NFC East matchup this week. Despite the poor records, this is actually a pivotal matchup within the division, because the Cowboys, with a 2-3 record, are tied for first in the division.
They are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles, while the Redskins at 1-3 are in third, ahead of the winless New York Giants. The Redskins are coming off a bye week after picking up their first win of the season in a Week 4 matchup with the Oakland Raiders. Dallas is coming off a demoralizing 51-48 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 5.
The Cowboys opened as 4-point favorites for the game, according to Odds Shark. Since then, the line has only moved even further in their favor, with some books listing them as favorites by as many as six points. The home-field advantage has to play a part in this, as well. Usually, a three- or four-point swing can be attributed to home-field advantage.
The over/under for the game opened at 53 points and has not moved much throughout the week.
