Steelers vs. Jets 2013 picks: Pittsburgh favored despite record

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

Steelers are the favorite despite their failures so far this season.

The Jets are riding high following two straight wins and enter Week 6 at 3-2. The Steelers, on the other hand, are 0-4 coming off a bye in Week 5. The two teams seem headed in different directions but clearly history has played a role in the odds in this matchup. The Steelers are considered the 3.5-point favorite on the road against the Jets at MetLife Stadium.

The CBS Sports panel of eight is not in favor of the spread and voted 7-1 in for the Jets to take the points. When the game was picked straight up, the group's totals changed, but still liked New York in the matchup with a 7-2 vote. Yahoo! Sports' two-man panel is split on the AFC clash with a 1-1 decision.

The SB Nation crew is also divided about the Week 6 showdown. However, the five-man panel leaned toward the Jets with a 3-2 vote.
