Bengals vs. Bills 2013 inactives: Stevie Johnson will not play on Sunday

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

The Bills will be without the veteran receiver on Sunday against the Bengals.

The Buffalo Bills will be without Stevie Johnson against the Cincinnati Bengals, with the receiver ruled out after being questionable to play on Sunday.

Johnson missed an entire week of practice while in California due to a death in the family, while also leaving last Thursday's game against the Browns early with a back injury. The veteran receiver, who has 20 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns this season, returned to Buffalo on Friday night.

The Bills' passing offense is averaging just 196 yards per game, and is now without rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel and will be starting Thad Lewis against the Bengals. Lewis, who has just one career start in the NFL, was promoted from the practice squad this past week.

The full list of inactives:

EJ Manuel, WB; Stevie Johnson, WR; Justin Rogers, CB; Brandon Burton, CB; Ron Brookes, CB; Antoine McClain, OL

R. Burkhead, RB; Margus Hunt, DE, T. Hawkinson, CB; C. Lewis-Harris, CB; R. Whalen, WR, B. Ghee, CB; M. Pollak, G
