Rams vs. Panthers 2013 odds: Carolina the heavy favorites at home

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

The Carolina Panthers are favored over the St. Louis Rams for their Week 7 matchup.

The Carolina Panthers and St. Louis Rams will face off in a Week 7 tilt, with the former looking to make it back to .500 and the latter looking to regain its first winning record since Week 1. St. Louis is 3-3, coming off consecutive wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans. Carolina has lost a few bad games this season, but picked up its second win in Week 6 after dominating the Minnesota Vikings.

Carolina, the home team, opened up as 6.5-point favorites, according to OddsShark. The lines differ on some of the major books, with the Panthers being as high as 7-point favorites on some, and as low as 6-point favorites on others. The Rams may be on a winning streak, but it's come against bad teams, and they have not played well on the road this season.

The over/under for the matchup is relatively low, as it opened at 42 points. That total has gone over in six of St. Louis' last nine games and under in four of Carolina's last five.
