Bengals vs. Lions 2013 odds: Detroit favored at home

Matt Sullivan

The Detroit Lions are favored over the Cincinnati Bengals for their Week 7 matchup.

The Cincinnati Bengals will take on the Detroit Lions in a Week 7 matchup on Sunday. Cincinnati is 4-2, and coming off two straight wins, including a Week 5 victory over the New England Patriots. Detroit recovered from a Week 5 loss to best the Cleveland Browns, a deceptively tough team, in Week 6.

Detroit is 4-2 on the season as well, and opened as narrow favorites over the Bengals. According to OddsShark, the line opened up with Detroit as 3-point favorites, and it has stayed at that number on most books. The line has narrowed on some, though, with Detroit slipping to 2.5-point favorites.

Both teams are pretty evenly matched, which is reflected in the odds. The Lions have the home-field advantage, and thus get the slight nod and the narrowing line throughout the week. The over/under for the matchup is set at 47 points, and the under might be the smart option. The Bengals have had five of their last seven games go under, and Detroit has had five of its last seven go under as well.
