NFL picks and predictions 2013, Patriots vs. Bengals: New England gets the nod on the road in Cincinnati

Scott Cunningham

The experts around the league are predicting the winner of the Patriots-Bengals game in Week 5.

The undefeated Patriots will visit Cincinnati on Sunday to face the Bengals. At 4-0, the Patriots are among the best teams in the league and are in prime position to take a win on the road against a struggling Bengals squad. Cincinnati is 2-2 after an upset loss to the Browns. The Bengals will need to rebound to stay even with the Browns and Ravens in the race for the AFC North.

The Bengals, despite their record, are 1.5-point favorites at home. With the spread taken into account, CBS Sports' experts are split on the game with a slight 5-3 edge in favor of the Patriots. The 5-3 vote was also the result of straight up picks for the panel.

Much like with CBS Sports, the SB Nation five-man panel is split on the matchup. The Patriots were given the nod in a 3-2 count by the SB Nation staff this week.

The Bengals will host the Patriots at 1 p.m. Sunday on CBS.
