David Wilson is also inactive as he remains out due to a neck injury. With Wilson and Jacobs out and Da'Rel Scott on injured reserve, New York is expected to start rookie Michael Cox. Cox is yet to record a NFL regular season rushing attempt. Peyton Hillis, who the Giants signed earlier in the week, is also expected to play. Jason Pierre-Paul is active for New York. He missed practice on Friday and Saturday due to an illness.
Adrian Peterson had a hamstring injury of his own, but the reigning NFL MVP is active. Peterson was limited in practice on Thursday and Saturday and missed practice on Friday. Backup cornerback A.J. Jefferson is inactive due to an ankle injury while reserve wide receiver Rodney Smith is out with a hip injury.
