While the Rams seem content to play with the eight-year veteran as their starter, the addition of depth at the quarterback position is an obvious must for the team and head coach Jeff Fisher wasn't willing to rule out the possibility of adding multiple passers.
"There is a good possibility we would sign more than one (quarterback)," Fisher said at his Monday news conference. "Those are the kinds of things we're discussing now."
Amid rampant speculation about who the player(s) would be for the Rams, including whispers of Tim Tebow, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Dispatch gave a run-down of the most likely and least likely options for the team.
Clemens has 12 career NFL starts with a career completion percentage of 51.8, seven touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He'll look to lead the Rams to an upset victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8.
