Rams may sign multiple quarterbacks after Sam Bradford's injury

Scott Kane-USA TODAY Sports

The Rams will look to the free agent market to add depth at quarterback, but don't expect Tim Tebow to be an addition for the team.

Quarterback Sam Bradford will miss the remainder of the 2013 season for the St. Louis Rams after suffering a torn ACL in Week 7, leaving the team with only Kellen Clemens on the roster.

While the Rams seem content to play with the eight-year veteran as their starter, the addition of depth at the quarterback position is an obvious must for the team and head coach Jeff Fisher wasn't willing to rule out the possibility of adding multiple passers.

"There is a good possibility we would sign more than one (quarterback)," Fisher said at his Monday news conference. "Those are the kinds of things we're discussing now."

Amid rampant speculation about who the player(s) would be for the Rams, including whispers of Tim TebowJim Thomas of the St. Louis Dispatch gave a run-down of the most likely and least likely options for the team.

Among the most likely for the Rams: Brady Quinn and Austin Davis. Tebow, Trent Edwards and Matt Leinart are among the players that Thomas lists an unlikely candidates for a backup role with the Rams.

Clemens has 12 career NFL starts with a career completion percentage of 51.8, seven touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He'll look to lead the Rams to an upset victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8.
