Baas missed a significant portion of the preseason and the regular season opener due to a previous MCL injury and Monday's injury is in the same knee. According to the report, Baas was scheduled to undergo a MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of the latest injury.
Monday was the first game Baas had played in since Week 3 due to a neck injury. He started at center before leaving at the end of New York's 17-play opening series. Baas limped of the field and back to the locker room, but did not return to the game. After the game, the 32-year-old called the injury unfortunate.
"But I'm just trying to stay positive and get healthy again. I mean, I can't catch a break, man," Baas said, via the New York Daily News.
If the injury forces Baas out of the lineup, Jim Cordle will likely replace him in the lineup. Cordle has started three games this season.
