A Week 7 game between the Carolina Panthers and St. Louis Rams that featured several fights and an ejection of defensive end Chris Long racked up nearly $50,000 in fines from the NFL. Leading the way was a $15,750 fine for Long, who drew an unnecessary roughness penalty, followed by $7,875 fines each for Rams G Harvey Dahl, Rams WR Brian Quick, Panthers WR Steve Smith and Panthers S Mike Mitchell.

Also racking up fines in Week 7 were the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as center Ted Larsen, safety Kelcie McCray and wide receiver Vincent Jackson were each docked $7,875.

The largest fine of the week was the $15,750 issued to five players, including Long. Miami Dolphins linebacker Jelani Jenkins, Washington Redskins outside linebacker Brian Orakpo and Houston Texans defensive Jared Crick each drew fines for roughing the passer penalties. Tennessee Titans linebacker Akeem Ayers drew the other $15,750 fine of the week with an unnecessary roughness penalty.

The second-largest fines of the week were $10,000 penalties given to Denver Broncos defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson and New England Patriots cornerback Logan Ryan. While Vickerson drew his for an unnecessary roughness penalty, Ryan's was for a crotch grab celebration that paid homage to Marshawn Lynch's famous postseason touchdown run.
