New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is still a possibility to be traded before Tuesday's trade deadline, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.
Nicks has been rumored as a potential trade chip for a month. As an unrestricted free agent after this season, Nicks does not have incredible value as he could walk from the team dealing for him after half of a campaign. This year, Nicks has caught 34 passes for 521 yards but is yet to score a touchdown.
One big positive this year for Nicks has been his durability. The former North Carolina Tar Heel has never played all 16 games in a season before, but is one pace to do so.
The Giants at 2-6 are incredibly still in the playoff hunt considering what a bad division the NFC East is proving to be. New York is only two games behind the Dallas Cowboys, who are making a trip to MetLife Stadium in three weeks.
