Bears vs. Packers 2013 odds: Green Bay heavily-favored against Chicago

Jonathan Daniel

The Packers are a two-score favorite against the Bears.

The Packers are set to host the Bears in Week 9. Green Bay is coming off a big win over the Vikings and are currently 5-2. The Bears were on bye in Week 8, but have found moderate success this season with a 4-3 record. The Packers are 10-point favorites, according to OddsShark. The over/under for this matchup is 49.5 points.

The Packers have been beaten up on the roster, but that has not stopped them from collecting wins. After a 1-2 start, Green Bay has won four-straight games and are poised to win the NFC North. The play of quarterback Aaron Rodgers has carried the Packers and he has spread the ball to every receiver he can find. The emergence of Eddie Lacy has also paid dividends for a Packers offense that is missing James Jones, Jermichael Finley and Randall Cobb.

The Bears are rested coming off a bye, but will be without quarterback Jay Cutler for the foreseeable future. His backup Josh McCown will be charged with putting up points against the Packers defense and keeping up with their offense. The Bears still have a turnover-producing defense as well as running back Matt Forte. If the Bears can control the clock, they could pull off the upset.
