White has been slow to recover from a high ankle sprain first suffered in the preseason. He played 74-of-76 offensive snaps last week, but later told reporters "I ain't where I need to be yet." He's not expected to be 100 percent until after the Falcons' Week 6 bye.
White played limited snaps in the early going of the season, being held to just 10 catches for 84 yards after crossing 1,000 yards the past six seasons. Despite the crippling injury, White was active in every game this season and his consecutive games streak stands at 132. He has yet to miss a game in his nine-year career.
"I've got to get right," White said. "The bye week is coming at really, really good time. No vacation. No time off for Roddy. No cruising. No, none of that. I'll be cruising right here in the training room."
