NFL news roundup: Packers sign Matt Flynn; Jake Locker out for season

Otto Greule Jr

The Packers are bringing back an old friend, and Tennessee's QB is done for the year.

Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito is firing back against Jonathan Martin as the team's bullying scandal continues to take twists.

In an extended interview with Fox Sports, Incognito said he would have changed his behavior if Martin or coaches had told him he was going too far. He also said, contrary to reports, that Martin had willingly paid money for a trip to Vegas. Incognito added that he would apologize to Martin if Martin told him he took things too far. He also said Martin would be welcomed back into the Dolphins locker room.

Here are some other news items from Monday in the NFL.

Matt Flynn to sign with Packers

The Green Bay Packers have gotten a bit desperate in the wake of multiple injuries at the quarterback position. So they decided to call an old friend, Matt Flynn, to provide some assistance. Flynn was needed depth after Aaron Rodgers suffered a collarbone injury in Week 9 and his replacement, Seneca Wallace, suffered a groin injury in Week 10. Flynn started his career with the Packers before bouncing around the league.

Mike James out indefinitely with ankle injury

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers picked up their first win of the season on Monday night at the hands of the Miami Dolphins, but it came at a cost. Running back Mike James, who replaced Doug Martin, suffered a fractured ankle on the opening drive of the game after rushing for 41 yards on five carries. He's out indefinitely.

Jake Locker out for season

Jake Locker left the Titans' loss to the Jaguars on Sunday with a foot injury, and on Monday it was revealed that he has been lost for the season with a Lisfranc injury. He was having the best season of his career but has dealt with multiple injuries, which cut his career year short.
