The San Francisco 49ers will travel to take on the New Orleans Saints in a huge NFC matchup in Week 11. San Francisco (6-3) just had a five-game winning streak snapped by the Carolina Panthers at home, while New Orleans (7-2) is 5-0 at the Superdome and coming off an absolute dismantling of the Dallas Cowboys.
Keepers Week 11
This game will feature some pretty high-level play, as Drew Brees and the No. 2 passing offense in the league takes on San Francisco's No. 9 passing defense, and the 49ers' No. 4 rushing attack takes on New Orleans' No. 23 rush defense. Both teams will be looking to play to their strengths, but it's incredibly hard to keep the Saints from the end zone, especially at home.
New Orleans opened up as 2.5-point favorites for this matchup, according to OddsShark. The line has only widened in their favor throughout the week, with one of the top oddsmakers listing them as 3.5-point favorites earlier in the week. This essentially confirms that oddsmakers consider these two teams to be largely equal, but the home-field advantage tips the scales in favor of the Saints.
The over/under for the matchup opened up at 47.5 and stayed right around there. That total has gone over in 12 of San Francisco's last 16 games and in five of New Orleans' last six, so it might be a smart option at this point.
