Atlanta Falcons running back Jason Snelling was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Friday morning. Snelling was pulled over at 3:35 a.m. ET in Winder, a suburb of Atlanta. Snelling was reportedly driving erratically, and reportedly told the officer that he had been smoking marijuana when pulled over. No word on his status with the Falcons going forward just yet.
Here's what else you might have missed on Friday:
Indianapolis Colts outside linebacker Erik Walden wasn't ejected for headbutting Delanie Walker on Thursday night, but he should be receiving a "hefty fine," according to reports on Friday. It's unlikely he is to be suspended on the day. William Moore, Golden Tate and Bernard Pollard were all among the players receiving fines, as well.
Ed Reed will "definitely" play on Sunday, according to the veteran safety. He was signed by the New York Jets on Thursday after being released by the Baltimore Ravens and placed on waivers. Ryan did say that Reed was not expected to start, which is no surprise. Even for a veteran like Reed who has history in similar schemes, it would be a tall order.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is having another down season. There's been a lot of talk about him potentially mulling a trade request earlier in the season, and now the reports are that the Steelers are unhappy with Roethlisberger and his style of play, in addition to his preparation.
Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker thinks that Walden should have been thrown out for his headbutt on Thursday Night Football. Walker said that he was "whipping his butt" and that got Walden riled up. He said that Walden should have been ejected an that it's "bush league" that he wasn't.
