During the Texans' 28-23 loss at home to the Oakland Raiders, quarterback Case Keenum was benched in favor of embattled quarterback Matt Schaub to a chorus of boos. On the last play of the game, Schaub missed Johnson with a potential game-winning touchdown pass, sending Johnson over the edge, according to ESPN.com.
However, Johnson says don't make too much of the argument:
"You can see the frustration on his face, frustration on my face," Johnson said. "I'm not worried about that. I think you all are making a big deal about it.
"We talked about it -- it's over with. I mean, me and Matt are fine. I have no problems with Matt. We played a lot of football together. Me and Matt have a good relationship."
"It's just emotions, emotions of the game, a culmination of a lot of things, but stuff we will keep between us," Schaub said. "He is a great guy and a great competitor, as am I. Just the heat of the moment, but that is behind us."
Johnson might be frustrated with the team's lousy season, but he is not ready to ask out of Houston. The star receiver is under contract through 2016, and doesn't plan on jumping ship.
This season, Johnson has 72 catches for 966 yards and five touchdowns. He has not had much help with faltering quarterback play and Arian Foster missing most of the season with a variety of injuries.
