NFL picks and predictions, Week 13: Jaguars vs. Browns 2013

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

At 4-7, the Browns are on the fringe of playoff contention and most NFL experts expect Cleveland to stay there with a win against Jacksonville.

With only five teams in the AFC at .500 or better, most of the conference remains in the chase for the final wild card spot. That includes the Browns, who, despite a 4-7 record, are just a game out of a playoff spot. Cleveland could move up the playoff standings with a win this week and most NFL experts predict the Browns to do just that.

Cleveland will host the 2-9 Jaguars this week. On paper the matchup figures to be in Cleveland's favor, even despite the fact that the Jaguars have won two of their last three games. Five of SB Nation's six NFL experts picked the Browns to win, with only Joel Thorman picking Jacksonville.

The majority of CBS Sports' NFL analysts agree, with seven of the eight picking Cleveland. Only Ryan Wilson picked Jacksonville to win. Many, however, are predicting a close game. The Browns are listed as 7.5-point favorites and when picking against the point spread, seven of the eight picked Jacksonville. Only Dave Richard is predicting the Browns to win by more than a touchdown. John Breech predicted a 17-13 Cleveland win.
