Johnson scored his first two rushing touchdowns of 2013, the second of which gave the Titans a seven-point lead with 2:59 remaining. He finished with 23 carries for 150 yards to help the Titans improve to 4-4. The Rams, losers of three straight, drop to 3-6.
Facing a 4th-and-4 from the Titans' 26-yard line with 16 seconds remaining, the Titans broke up a pass in the end zone to preserve the win.
The game marked the first time Fisher, who spent 14 years on the sidelines for the Titans, had coached against his former team.
The Titans got on the board first as running back Shonn Greene powered into the end zone for a five-yard score on their first offensive drive of the game, capping a seven-play, 68-yard march.
The Rams have struggled to run the ball all season and entered Sunday's game without a single rushing touchdown. Rookie running back Zac Stacy changed that by rushing for a pair of scores against the Titans. His first came on a three-yard run in the second quarter that tied the game He added another with 9:14 remaining in the third quarter, gashing the defense up the middle for a nine-yard touchdown to give his team a 14-7 lead.
Not to be outdone, Johnson scored his first rushing touchdown of the season four minutes later, lowering his head to power in from 14 yards out to tie the game.
The two teams then traded touchdowns midway through the fourth quarter. Jake Locker, who remained rusty in his second game back from a hip injury that cost him two starts earlier this season, scrambled into the end zone from five yards out to give the Titans the lead. He finished 13-of-22 for 185 yards and threw a pair of interceptions.
Fantasy Studs and Duds
Johnson finally rewarded frustrated fantasy owners, blowing up for 150 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 20 receiving yards. The passing attack, however, remained grounded under the control of Locker, who had just 185 yards and two picks, though he did grab a rushing score.
Stacy was the big point-getter for the Rams, going for 127 yards and two touchdowns. He got all but four of the Rams 31 carries and has solidified himself as the team's feature back.
