NFL odds and lines, 49ers vs. Buccaneers 2013: San Francisco favored on the road

Vegas likes the 49ers to come away with this one, favoring them by nearly a touchdown.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the San Francisco 49ers hoping to end their season on a positive note, but Vegas doesn't anticipate a close matchup. According to OddsShark, the 49ers are favored by five points across the board.

The 49ers picked up their third win in a row and remain in play for the NFC West with a big win over the Seattle Seahawks. A field goal with under 30 seconds left gave the 49ers a 19-17 victory, although they failed to cover the -2.5 point spread. San Francisco moves to 9-4 in the standings and 8-4-1 against the spread. They can clinch a playoff berth with a win and some help in the NFC.

The Buccaneers are out of the playoff hunt, but they've been on a tear lately, winning four games in the last five weeks. Their latest win was a 27-6 demolition of the Buffalo Bills, easily covering the -3 point spread. The Bucs improve to 4-9 on the season and 6-7 against the spread. Will their late surge be enough to save Greg Schiano's job? We shall see. Either way, LaVonte David had another brilliant game and put himself in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year.
