Chargers vs. Broncos 2013 inactives: Wes Welker out, Keenan Allen and Eddie Royal will play

Jeff Gross

The San Diego Chargers will have two valuable receivers on Thursday Night.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker is officially inactive for the game on Thursday night against San Diego. The Chargers' offense will be at full strength, with Keenan Allen and Eddie Royal both active.

Welker's status is no surprise. The veteran wide receiver was ruled out on Wednesday with a concussion he sustained in Week 14, and it's unclear if he'll be able to return to action against the Houston Texans in Week 16. His concussion was the second he's sustained in 2013, and it's likely the team will lean on Eric Decker in his absence.

The San Diego Chargers caught a break with news Eddie Royal would be able to play on Thursday. He was listed as "questionable" during practice due to a toe injury, but will be able to play. Breakout rookie Keenan Allen will also play after sustaining a shoulder injury, representing a test for the bruised Broncos' secondary.
