Texans vs. Colts 2013 results: Houston lifeless in 25-3 loss

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

The Colts bagged an easy victory and the Texans dropped their 12th game in a row.

The Indianapolis Colts dealt another blow to the lowly Houston Texans, winning a lopsided game, 25-3. The Colts move to 9-5 on the season, while the Texans fall to 2-12 after losing their 12th straight game.

Andrew Luck didn't waste much time getting Indianapolis a lead, hitting Griff Whalen for his first career receiving touchdown. It was the first time in seven games the Colts scored a touchdown in the first half. Indianapolis poured it on for most of the first half. A nine-yard touchdown reception by Trent Richardson extended their lead to 17-3. Adam Vinatieri tacked on his second field goal of the day before halftime and the Colts went into the locker room leading, 20-3.

With the game well in hand already, the Colts were content to milk the clock in the second half. Robert Mathis got his 108th career sack, beating Dwight Freeney for the franchise record. Case Keenum was unable to do anything on offense and the Texans suffered yet another humiliating loss as their coaching search ramps up.

T.Y. Hilton was the Colts' leading receiver, grabbing eight catches for 78 yards. Andre Johnson was a victim of Keenum's ineffectiveness, getting just 18 yards on four catches.
