LeSean McCoy: 'I want to put the offense on my back' vs. Bears

Mike Ehrmann

Philadelphia's most dynamic weapon wants to be the focal point this Sunday.

In one of the most important games of his career, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy isn't playing around.

Perhaps the best dual-threat in the game, McCoy has a simple message for his coaching staff and team before Sunday night's game against the Chicago Bears, per the Philadelphia Daily News' Les Bowen:

"I feel like this game, I want to put the offense on my back. I want to roll. I want to get goin'. I think me and the guys up front, we've got to set the tone. Once we do that, we can worry about the other teams. Right now, the big guys up front and myself, we need to put this game on our back, and take care of business."

Philadelphia enters the contest 8-6, playing potentially for the NFC East crown. Since the Eagles are in the Sunday night primetime slot, they will know the result of the Dallas Cowboys game. If Dallas loses to the Washington Redskins, the Eagles can punch their ticket to the postseason.

McCoy has been nothing short of brilliant this season. The former University of Pittsburgh star is leading the league with 1,343 rushing yards on five yards per carry. McCoy also has 507 receiving yards, putting him in an elite class of all-purpose backs along with the Kansas City Chiefs' Jamaal Charles and others of their ilk.
