NFL picks and predictions, Week 17: Lions vs. Vikings 2013

Gregory Shamus

NFL experts are making their picks for Week 17's matchup between the Lions and Vikings.

The Vikings will host the Lions in the last game that will ever be played at the Metrodome. The Vikings are coming off a blowout loss to the Bengals, while the Lions are on a three-game losing streak. Detroit and Minnesota have little more than pride to play for but this is a rivalry game. The Lions are currently 7-8 and the Vikings are 4-10-1 on the season.

Minnesota is a 3.5-point favorite at home against Detroit, despite their records. The CBS Sports panel seems to be on board with the spread with a 5-3 vote. When picking straight up, the vote stays the same.

The Showtime Inside the NFL panel is also in favor of the Vikings. Cris Collinsworth and guest analyst Franco Harris picked the Minnesota, while Phil Simms went with the Lions for a 2-1 vote.

The SB Nation panel voted 3-2 in favor of Detroit.
