NFL picks and predictions, Browns vs. Steelers 2013: Pittsburgh favored at home against Cleveland

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

NFL writers are making their picks for Sunday's matchup between the Browns and Steelers.

The Steelers are set to take on the Browns on Sunday. Since the Steelers have a slim shot at the postseason, a win is essential to keeping their hopes alive. The Browns are playing the role of spoiler, but a win against their division rival would end the season on a high note. Still, the Steelers should be motivated to get the win in front of their home crowd.

The Steelers are favored at home against the Brown by 7.5 points by CBS Sports. The eight panelists on the CBS Sports panel picked in favor of the Steelers with a vote of 5-3 when considering the spread. However, when picking straight up, the entire panel choose in favor of Pittsburgh in a clean sweep.

Showtime's "Inside the NFL" three-man panel is split on the game. Cris Collinsworth and Phil Simms picked the Steelers, while former Pittsburgh running back Franco Harris surprisingly picked the Browns.

Four of five SB Nation experts picked the Steelers for the home win, with only David Fucillo picking the Browns.
