The Indianapolis Colts are set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a Week 14 matchup. It should be a solid game, and there's plenty of playoff implications as well. Both teams are 8-4 and in the lead in their respective divisions. The Bengals hold a two-game lead over the 6-6 Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North, while the Colts hold a three-game lead over the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South.
This one is probably more important for the Bengals to win. Indianapolis seems to have the division in hand with the Tennessee Titans struggling through injuries, the Jacksonville Jaguars being an outright bad team and the Houston Texans in the midst of an implosion. Cincinnati could conceivably be caught by either Baltimore or the Pittsburgh Steelers before it's all said and done.
The odds makers are with the Bengals on this one, as well. Cincinnati opened up as 5.5-point favorites in the matchup, and the line has only widened in their favor on most books, according to OddsShark. At mid-week, multiple sites had Cincinnati favored by a full 6 points.
Playing at home is certainly helping the Bengals there, but such an advantage usually only accounts for a point or two in the lines. The over/under for the matchup opened at 44 points, and it's not moving much. That total has gone over in five of Indianapolis' last six games, and under in six of their its nine on the road. It's also gone under in 14 of Cincinnati's last 21 games, and in six of its last nine at home.
