Ma'ake Kemoeatu wants to play 'another couple seasons'

Former Ravens nose guard Ma'ake Kemoeatu intends to play a couple more seasons after reviving his career in 2012. Is there a market for the 34-year-old?

Free agent nose guard Ma'ake Kemoeatu intends to keep playing a couple more seasons, according to the Baltimore Sun.

More Ravens coverage: Baltimore Beatdown

The 34-year-old was out of football in 2011, recovering from an Achilles injury and weight issues -- at one point, he was well over 400 pounds. He dropped over 70 pounds and revived his career with the Baltimore Ravens last season, beating out Terrence Cody for the starting job and playing in 13 games. He tallied 29 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

Kemoeatu is an unrestricted free agent, and Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome has stated that he wants to address the defensive tackle position. His comeback was a feel-good story, but he wasn't particularly effective on the football field and isn't likely to command much attention in the open market. The Ravens would do well to upgrade the position in either free agency or the draft.
