Joe Nicholson-US PRESSWIRE

A tight end class with plenty of intriguing prospects got sized up for the NFL Combine on Thursday.

Tight ends could be skimming the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, and on Thursday the position group got their official NFL Combine measurements before Saturday's workout in Indianapolis, Ind.

Much was made, for pre-Combine measurements, anyway, after Stanford Cardinal junior Zach Ertz -- SB Nation's second-ranked tight end prospect -- recorded the smallest arm measurements in the group. Another highly-ranked member of the group, Notre Dame's Tyler Eifert, by comparison, recorded a wingspan of 33 1/8 inches.

At 6-foot-2, Jordan Reed of the Florida Gators came in as the shortest tight end, while Ertz's teammate at Stanford, Levine Toilolo, was the group's tallest member at 6-foot-8. UCLA's Joseph Fauria ended up with the biggest hands, measuring at 10 7/8 inches.

The following is a complete list of tight end participants at the NFL Combine and their respective measurements:
