It doesn't look like the Jets will ship the four-time Pro Bowler west to San Francisco.
Let's narrow down the field of potential trade partners for Darrelle Revis and the New York Jets one by one.
Adam Schefter, you're up:
ESPN's Chris Mortensen said a source told him the 49ers are not inclined to pursue Darrelle Revis at this time. So there's that.

OK. 49ers are out (though, supposedly in the hunt just yesterday). That leaves 30 more teams that could acquire Revis. We have a start.
The 49ers sound like a logical fit because they have the draft pick or picks to surrender to acquire Revis. And why not add the best cornerback in football to the best defense in football? The rich would get richer.
At Niners Nation, they don't think the Revis-to-the-Niners deal will materialize:
Personally I would tend to agree with Mort that this doesn't fit the 49ers approach to building a team. They pay their own, don't make blockbuster moves, and don't engage in bidding wars. Most people citing some sort of "precedent" are going way back, to the Deion Sanders signing, for instance, which was nearly 20 years ago.
While it seems like anything can happen at this point, the Jets seem to be actively shopping their four-time Pro Bowler. Revis tore his ACL in the second game of the 2012 season, but he's still considered the best cornerback in football.
The hickup with Revis and the Jets at the moment is the money. Revis will likely demand a big contract -- around $16 million a year -- and the Jets are unlikely to make that happen. Why give one player $16 million when they can use that money to improve depth on their own team? After a 6-10 season, the Jets need all the help they can get.
