San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis (elbow) is probable to return.
Super Bowl XLVII is underway in New Orleans.
We're well into the first quarter now and we have our first injury. San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis made a big catch downfield to put his team in scoring position. Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed came up on him for the tackle. After the play, Davis went to the sideline and was looked at by trainers.

Davis was later sitting on the bench without medical staff in his presence. More than likely, it appears as if Davis was just a little shaken up. He will have a chance to rest up for a moment as the Ravens go back on the field. Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reported that Davis' return was probable with an elbow injury.

Ed Reed, on the other hand, went to the locker room after the collision.
Update:
Vernon Davis and Ed Reed have both returned to the field, and both the 49ers and Ravens are back at full strength.
