Super Bowl 2013 score: Ravens fake field goal gamble does not pay off

The Ravens attempted a fake field goal, but came up one yard short.

The Baltimore Ravens attempted a huge gamble up 14-3, but it didn't pay off.

At 4th and 9, Justin Tucker ran a fake field goal and came up just one yard short, giving the ball back to the 49ers. Before that the drive was going well. Taking over at the Niners' 38-yard line after an Ed Reed interception, they once again relied heavily on the run game to milk the clock. It didn't go places, however, getting just 34 yards on eight plays. An Anquan Boldin dropped pass and overthrown ball to Torrey Smith in the endzone corner killed the drive.

With a big lead and unusually sloppy play from the Niners, this probably isn't a momentum shifter, but it is a curious decision by John Harbaugh.
