Super Bowl commercials 2013: Bar Refaeli uncomfortably kisses nerd in GoDaddy commercial

Gareth Cattermole

Supermodel Bar Refaeli appeared on a GoDaddy.com commercial during the Super Bowl, and uncomfortably locked lips with a nerd.

One of the more memorable commercials from Super Bowl XLVII didn't feature a supermodel named Kate Upton. Instead, GoDaddy.com's commercial with supermodel Bar Refaeli was far more memorable -- albeit, much more uncomfortable.

Long-time GoDaddy.com spokeswoman Danica Patrick introduces Refaeli, who represents GoDaddy's sexy side. Patrick then introduces Walter, a nerd with a computer, who is dubbed the smart side able to "create a killer website for your small business."

"Together, they're perfect," Patrick says -- which is when the uncomfortable level kicks into high gear.

Refaeli and Walter then begin locking lips, which isn't so bad. It's perhaps the sound effects of the kiss that make the commercial awkward and uncomfortable. Check out below for yourself.

At the least, the commercial gives tech nerds some iota of hope that they, too, can date a supermodel someday, right?

Well, maybe not. But it's still a commercial that many are talking about -- and there's certainly no such thing as bad press, not in this instance.
