Denver Broncos re-sign David Bruton to 3-year deal

Bruton was one of the team's best special teams players last season.

The Denver Broncos have re-signed special teams player David Bruton to a three-year deal, according to the team's executive vice president, John Elway.

Bruton, 25, has spent his first four seasons in the league with the Broncos. The team drafted him in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Bruton is a defensive back, but primarily plays on special teams. He's appeared in 61 games in four seasons, but he's started just four. He has 65 career tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and six pass deflections.

Bruton played four seasons at Notre Dame as a defensive back. He was a starter in his junior and senior seasons. He finished his college career with 213 total tackles, seven interceptions, 16 pass deflections, three forced fumbles and a sack.
