Denver would like to add a starting right cornerback to line up opposite from Champ Bailey, allowing them to move Chris Harris into the slot on nickel coverage. The cornerback market in free agency is deep this year with plenty of talent available. It is thought the Broncos won't go after the highest priced corners available, but could pursue someone of Rodgers-Cromartie's level.
Rodgers-Cromartie was traded to the Eagles as part of the Kevin Kolb deal in 2011. He made the Pro Bowl in 2009 as a member of the Cardinals, and despite some inconsistency in Philadelphia, is still only 26 years old and has the athletic ability to be a top-level corner. Working with Bailey in Denver could help him take his game to the next level.
Outside of cornerback position, the Broncos are also targeting offensive guards, defensive tackles, running backs, and an edge rusher in free agency.
