Desmond Bryant signs with Browns, according to report

The Cleveland Browns have agreed to terms with free agent defensive tackle Desmond Bryant, according to reports.

The Cleveland Browns have reached an agreement with and signed former Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Desmond Bryant, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.

Bryant, of course, is more famous for his recent mugshot after his recent arrest in which he's shirtless and his facial expression is one that would tell his arresting officer that he's completely devoid of all intelligent or rational thought. Pretty crazy considering the guy played college football at Harvard.

There's no questioning his talent, though, and heading into the new league year he was considered by many to be one of the league's best bargain deals when it comes to free agency. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the deal with the Browns is for five years and $34 million.

Bryant, who went undrafted in 2009, has played in all but one game in his four-year career, and has made 124 tackles and 10.5 sacks while with the Raiders. The Browns had the No. 23 ranked defense in 2012, which was a large fall from the No. 10 ranking they had in 2011. New defensive coordinator Ray Horton should be able to make use of Bryant to shore up the team's front seven which could help them catch up to the Bengals, Steelers and Ravens, who have run away with the division over the last four years.
