The Broncos offered pass rusher Elvis Dumervil a three-year deal, but, according to reports, the offer was underwhelming and Dumervil plans to visit other teams over the next 48 hours.

Elvis Dumervil, who was released from the Denver Broncos after his signed contract was returned to the team a few minutes too late, was reportedly "underwhelmed" by the team's latest three-year offer, and the talented pass rusher plans to visit other teams in the next 48 hours, according to the Denver Post's Mike Klis.

After his release, the Broncos would have had to clear space to re-sign Dumervil, even at the decreased rate the two sides had negotiated. Before they offered him a contract, Dumervil had been linked to several teams, including the Dolphins and the Ravens.

Dumervil expressed an interest in playing for the Dolphins, due to the fact that he's from Miami, though the Dolphins haven't reached out to the defensive end. The Ravens, though, have expressed a desire to sign Dumervil, though no deal has been reached.

Dumervil is the biggest name player on the open market now and is among the top pass rushers available. Other teams that could be interested and would realistically be able to afford him include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who finished with only 27 sacks in 2012, the Eagles, who finished with only 30, Jacksonville Jaguars, who finished dead last in sacks with 20, the Patriots, who finished with 37 sacks and the Falcons, who finished with 29.

Now that the annual league meeting has come to an end, a second round of free agency will begin as coaches and general managers make their way back to work. Dumervil will likely be one of the more sought after players in this second round of free agency and likely won't be available for much longer.

Last year, Dumervil made 54 tackles and 11 sacks and one safety. Over his six years with the Broncos, Dumervil has made 225 tackles, 63.5 sacks, one safety and one interception.
