Long-time Baltimore Raven Ed Reed is moving on to Houston next season, having signed a three-year, $15 million contract with the Texans this week.

On Sunday, Reed took out a full-page ad in the Baltimore Sun to thank the Ravens and their fans. The full text of the ad:

Ravens Nation, My eleven seasons in Baltimore were more than I would have ever imagined, which is why I have such deep love for you all. I will forever cherish my time with the Ravens and the chills that ran down my spine when I finally kissed the Lombardi Trophy.

Special thanks to the City, Team, Organization and all the Fans! I'm going to miss being a part of this tremendous team and organization, but I'll always be Baltimore and my Foundation will remain in this community, this is not a goodbye, but a See You Soon.

Thank you for everything Baltimore, God Bless you.

ED REED #20

Reed, a nine-time Pro Bowler, was the 24th selection in the 2002 NFL Draft by Baltimore. The former two-time All American at the University of Miami put together a Hall of Fame career in Baltimore, winning the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year award in 2004. Reed has 61 career interceptions, returning seven of those picks for touchdowns. He also holds the NFL record for most interception return yards in a career, with 1,506.

Baltimore will host Houston next season, though an official game date has not been announced.
