The Tennessee Titans hosted free agent wide receiver Chaz Schilens on Wednesday, according to a report from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Schilens is the third wide receiver to visit Tennessee in two days, as the Titans hosted Brandon Stokley and Kevin Walter on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Schilens spent last season with the New York Jets and was unable to make much of an impact despite the depleted Jets wide receiver corps. He played in 15 games, including six starts, and finished the season with 28 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns. Schilens spent the first four years of his career with the Raiders, but injury issues hindered his production.
In Tennessee, Schilens would play a backup role, and there is some question if he would be an upgrade over what the Titans currently have. Kenny Britt , Nate Washington and Kendall Wright are the Titans' top three receivers, with Damian Williams also seeing significant action. At 6'4, Schilens would bring some size to the receiving corps.
